  •       Eligibility / Admission Criteria for the Program

Admission to the program is based entirely on merit. The basic policy of the Admission Committee of the Institute of Islamic Banking is to select those participants whose intellectual capacity, potential and personal characteristics best qualify them to pursue careers in Islamic Banking and Finance. The following is the eligibility criteria for admission:

  • Eighteen years degree or MS  with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4 in one of the following areas:
    • Banking, Finance and Economics;
    • Islamic Banking, Islamic Finance and Islamic Economics;
    • Islamic Studies;
    • Or equivalent 18 years of education from an institution/university recognized by HEC


  • GAT Subject test with minimum score of 60% marks to be qualified
  • In case of non availability of GAT Subject test, UMT GAT subject test must be cleared with minimum score of 70% marks to be qualified.
  • Interview by the Admission Committee to be cleared.
