Doctoral Seminar in IIB (Institute of Islamic Banking)

A series of Doctoral seminars has been initiated in the IIB. IIB intends to organize these seminars on regular basis after every two weeks. In this regard, the first seminar was held on Friday, November 10, 2017. Mr Noman Arshed (Phd Batch #1) presented his Phd thesis research proposal  on the topic titled “Deposit and Financing modeling of Islamic Banks: An empirical Investigation.” Mr Noman started his presentation with the introduction and need of financial sector in an economy. He talked about the circular flow model and the role of commercial banks in it. Furthermore he explained the welfare role of Islamic banks. After the completion of his presentation, question-answer session was held. In the end, his proposal was evaluated by faculty members and some suggestions were given to improve his proposal.
