IIB Board's

The Institute of Islamic Banking (IIB) have boards to describes the institute's courses/programme processes for Quality Assurance. These are compatible with the Quality Assurance policies of the University of Managment and Technology (UMT).

Role of Board Members

The following responsibilities which particularly impinge upon quality matters within the institute:

  • Overall responsibility for (PGT and PGR) quality matters within the institute and for liaison with Colleges, Universities and external quality processes.
  • Delegated responsibility from head of institutefor teaching delivery, and oversight of the administrative teaching organisation.
  • Responsible for the curriculum approval process within the institute
  • Providing a forum for discussion within the institute
  • Appropriate consultation with other departments/schools, and approval of submissions to the relevant bodies at higher levels within the University

It is chaired by Director/Dean appointed by the Rector, UMT and includes all Informatics academic teaching staff, at least two members external to the institute and at least two industry representatives.
